BroadView broadcast traffic software

Broadcast Traffic Software and Traffic System for TV, Cable and Radio

BroadView provides all the tools to keep your traffic operations running smoothly. Our customizable ad engine allows you to configure the values most important to you. Ad contracts can be created either for single or multi-channel buys. Include all types of revenue on a single contract, like secondary elements and non-traditional revenue (production costs, digital, etc.).

BroadView supports the creation of complex break structures and uses them to plot spots and promos into the right slots. Placement rules and advertiser, product or brand separation make sure that spots are plotting in the right place. Assign creative to spots using our Ad Copy Plan tool to create instructions for spots and greatly simplify the management of promotional inventory.

We’ve made it easy when finalizing logs to see any issues at a glance. BroadView provides a rule-based reconciliation tool that simplifies the recon process and preps your logs for invoicing. Our goal is to make working with the logs simple and fast, yet accurate.

BroadView’s traffic module gives stations and networks the tools to manage ad contracts, inventory, copy instructions, and log finalization — all from one integrated platform. Designed for multi-channel scalability, it supports unlimited stations and networks with centralized operations.

Traffic Features

Multi-Channel Scalability

BroadView allows you to centralize your operations and supports unlimited stations, networks and channels. Sell spots as single or multi-network buys. Roll up your revenue reporting in a single revenue analysis tool and have access to dozens of traffic and revenue related reports in our report library.

Avails

Avails in BroadView are always available and up-to-date. Manage both linear and non linear inventory. See details on what has been sold and who is buying your inventory, including analysis around unit rates, client names, priorities and many other options. Filters give you the avails picture you want; save filtered definitions to be scheduled to run as needed.

Ad Copy

BroadView supports working with Ad Copy in multiple ways. Add basic instructions as a default on a contract line or manage complex instructions using our Ad Copy Plan tool. With Ad Copy Plan, you can create a single plan for multiple stations and multiple instruction sets.  A separate copy plotter ensures that creative placement is accurate based on spot placement. The log finalization process includes a final review and update of copy on placed spots and advises of any potential issues.

Revenue Management

BroadView recognizes the need for robust revenue reporting. Within BroadView, view all your sales revenue for all your networks in a single analysis tool. Build reports from simple projects to layered reports that include business activity and pacing. Analyze your revenue by any date range and any number of categories. Not just for standard spot revenue, our tool allows you to include details such as non-traditional revenue, units sold, time paid vs. unpaid or adjusted rates. Like with all reporting in BroadView, save and schedule these reports to be run and emailed at your preferred day and time.

Open Architecture

BroadView knows that additional integrations are often needed. We can integrate with an existing, third-party sales proposal, accounting or any other industry partner. Store any document by dragging and dropping it on a BroadView form. Store emails, signed PDFs and anything else. Users can connect and work from anywhere.

Invoicing and Accounts Receivable

Month end processes are simplified using BroadView invoicing and A/R functions. Invoices can be issued as needed and sent electronically. Invoices can include charges for non-time revenue like production work or website placement. Accounts receivable allows you to easily manage batch deposits for various types of accounts. Adjustments can be created down to the spot rate to allow you to make adjustments at any level.

Already have an advanced accounting system?  BroadView can easily integrate to it.

Log Finalization

Log Finalization ensures spots are placed correctly, copy is assigned and final checks are complete. BroadView provides a validation tool that automatically checks for issues on the log and reports any problems that require attention. Configured at the channel level, administrators can control what are mandatory checks, optional or not needed. Users can then enhance that list by selecting further options on their own. Severity levels can be assigned to stop playlist exports if needed. Always active, the check log tool is a key step in the BroadView log process to flag users of potential problems without the need for a manual process.

In addition, the Promo Campaign Manager (PCM) can be run directly from the log, even up to the last minute, to ensure promo placement campaigns are being followed, promos are plotted and patterns are being followed during log finalization. Together, the Log Validation tool and PCM provide significant automation for reducing the effort necessary to finalize logs.

What Is a Broadcast Traffic System?

A broadcast traffic system is the operational core of a station or network: it holds the ad contracts, tracks commercial inventory, plots spots and promos into break structures, assigns copy instructions, and produces the finalized log that goes to air. BroadView delivers that on the same database as sales, programming and on-demand, so a change in one area is visible everywhere immediately rather than after an overnight export.

From Avails to Invoice in One Traffic Workflow

Because avails, contracts, copy, log finalization, invoicing and accounts receivable all live in one broadcast traffic system, the same record follows a spot from the moment it is sold to the moment it is billed. Sales sees live inventory, traffic works from the contract it was sold against, and month-end invoicing draws on the finalized log — no re-keying between systems and no reconciliation of one system against another.

Built for Multi-Channel Operations

Unlimited stations, networks and channels are supported from a single installation, with single or multi-network buys, centralized revenue reporting, and validation rules configured per channel. Placement rules and advertiser, product and brand separation are enforced by the system as spots are plotted, so conflicts are prevented rather than discovered on the log.
